after speaking with the Indo Embassy, apparently this exemption - stamp / sticker in passport does not apply to tourist or visitor visas.
However, one can apply for a 'card' in Indoneasia which is sort through thier taxation department. They suggest one would apply for a taxation number and then would be eliagble for the card.
As far as the requirement go to get a tax no in the first place, I dont know, nor am I aware of a processing time for one. If its anything like Australia, it could be up to 28 days???
Then the card...
