??? Jetstar booking prices..

Just a question to the formites if any one has any Ideas?....I had a look for flights EX Perth for October and the single adult fare came up at $543.00 return and when I did the prices for x6 Adults on the same flight it was more per person?...I thought it would be cheaper for a multiple booking not more expensive any body else had this happen?...
