As far as I am aware, Mie Goreng is traditional Indonesian & Malaysian food. Ditto Nasi Goreng. Fried noodles, fried rice. Not Chinese at all. Chinese noodle dishes are different. The words Nasi, Mie & Goreng are Bahasa Indonesia & Bahasa Malay. If you see these dishes on the menus at Chinese restaurants, they are probably Malaysian/Singaporean Chinese (Nonya perhaps)restaurants.

I am a bit of a foodie & I love eating Indonesian food when in Bali - so Mie Goreng is something I have often.
