i should have waited to write a jbr after our trip but decided why not do a pre trip report as well.
this trip ,that will take place on feb 8-21 has been planned for six months.we do this trip as a reward for our son who's been very good,just finish his hi school and off to uni on march.so as a gift of appreciation for a job well done we shout a bali trip for him.we thought of phuket or bali but after reading a lot of post from this forum,we decided that bali is the one for us.
first 3 nites will be at puri raja,i dont know what to expect but people from this forum will always be here to guide us.
according to this forum,we can change currency through ayu at the front of the hotel entrance.realiable i was told.then we could chill for a couple of days ,just to feel the bali sorrounds.we might check out janoko tailors and jaya mandiri optik on our first couple of days and look for ketuts shoppe at garlic lane.
we will move to kumala pantai on the 11th and meet up with my sister who is base in vietnam.along the beach is a whole lot of activities to do ,and a chance to start interacting with the locals.along the beach sides are a whole lot of fabulous restaurant to choose,lanai ,zanzibar,blue ocean ,tekor ,to name a few.we could change our money at opposite the jayakarta,pura bagus taruna,pass yutz and flying piano (i could actually stop for a meal on this place if i am hungry)walk towards legian road ,opposite the school is the money changer P.T, Bali Saudura valas.we could check warung murah and warung yogya for a cheap meal around this area as well.on valentines day,we will have our dinner at la lucciola or la loan.
on the 15th a niece will arrive from melbourne.we will do a whole day tour to ubud and sorrounds,tanah lot and detour to canggu and have our dinner in a restaurant at echo beach.depending on our mood ,we will probably do another tour the day after.and if the weather permits,we might go to lembongan beach club cruise.
Feb 17,and we are off to kartika plaza for 4 nites.most of our time will be spent relaxing on the pool,and maybe a visit to waterboom park,dinner will be at pantai and ma jolly.late at nite we will check the musro at kartika.on one free afternoon,we will check out jimbaran, to uluwatu,nusa dua and stop over for a seafood dinner at kesuma where ,if we are lucky we might be able to to met the legendary bloody ron.and if we want another round of bintang with bloody ron,we will go back to sanur and have another dinner at d' corner cafe.while in tuban,we could visit uns, legend ,daddys cafe,cafe batan waru or blue fin.
For our massage ,febris ,the melasti,briella and ambiente are the place to choose,which one, i dont know. maybe try all of them.
for we are a bali virgins,fixed price shoppe will be advisable,though sometimes we will have to venture the shops where we could practice our persuation and bargaining skills.but if we think the vendors are too in your face,we could always retreat to yanthi,ketuts, or diannes shop.
before we leave, i will have to to check my kit

4.norit - buy in bali
5.bokasih oil - buy in bali
6.ruppiah for taxi -check
before i forget,i will have to check the availability of drivers of my choice.dewa parwita, wayan adiarsa,wayan sukerta,putu sanjaya.
lastly,i should remember to leave some ruppiah for exit tax of 150000 each,and ruppiah for dewa or prada lounge at the airport.
