I know many people who work in charities here in Sydney Salvation Army etc on a voluntee basis and they pick the eye out of the donated goods, they then proceed to sell them at markets and garage sales to go to Bali on holidays in which they give a small portion to the poor to justify what they are doing. I myself give both in Australia & in Bali as my daughter has chosen to sponsor some kids to go to school. So can totally understand what you are saying.
