I guess just by going there we are making a contribution to the economy (however small)
I just give small tips without making any fuss. Many of us are not well off and save hard for our holidays. The tips I give I can easily afford and it makes a big difference to those who can only ever dream of an overseas holiday.
I take my hat off to those who can, and do contribute soo much more.
I do not think you are shallow
