Arrived Bali 18th December and staying until 6th January 09.
The Virgin flight from Brisbane to Denpasar was excellent .
Of our fifteen trips to Bali this flight was one of the best.
The seats are very comfortable, (no! I did not recline) with plenty of leg room and you own personal television screen in the back of the seat in front of you which you can access by swiping your credit card ($9:90).
You have to pay for all meals and drinks, and we found the service from the cabin crew to be excellent. Drinks were readily available virtually from the time the seat belt light goes off and you are continually offered a good variety of food (trolley run 3 times)and snacks for the whole 6 hour trip.
Perhaps Jetstar should head hunt Virgins Human Resources and Customer Service Managers.
As you would be aware the beaches are filthy, Bintang has gone up and spirits are very hard to come by.
At Bintang supermarket we saw a 750ml bottle of Jack Daniels retailing for 795,00Rp (around $110 Aus., we were lucky enough to snag a one litre bottle of imported Kentucky Bourban for $40 Aus from a "secret spot" that shall remain nameless.
We caught up with Dennisc before he left, Baldy and his lovely wife Pai, Hillary and her Kuta Cowboy Brian and are going to catch up for drinkies with Luvthe NT and Mr Bloodyron.
What a group! I bet there will be a few of your ears burning that night!
