Thanks so much mandyz for your thorough and informative reply, it's very much appreciated! Glad to hear your were so happy with the villa because I've booked already (didn't want to miss out on what seems like such a good offer!), we're just staying there for the first 3 nights, but it might be hard to leave! It doesn't worry me either that it's a bit out of the way (especially because we have the driver) and I think it will be good to just relax and catch up with family for the first few days anyway.
