We visited the Safari Park last week. We enjoyed a fantastic day.
The bus trip through the park, elephant rides and of course the highlight nursing and cuddling the baby orangutan. However my son suffered a nasty bite by from the orangutan (I believe she was only playing). I'm sure in a zoo environment the animals would be free from disease. But how can I be sure. After much publicity about the whole rabies thing in Bali I will be taking my son to the doctor tomorrow.
Does anyone know how I can find out if the orangutan at the Safari Park is free from the disease?
Thanks - J
