My husband(Indonesian) and I stayed at KP a couple of years ago. We were phoned by reception every time we had Indonesian visitors and we had to meet them at Reception. We were never phoned when our Western friends visited. One night the two of us were having a quiet swim and were sitting beside the pool taliking. My huband was approached by Security and asked what his room number was and questioned in Indonesian? My husband was very embarrassed. We couldn't wait to move to Blue Ocean next door which is definitely not 5 star but feels like home and our friends can come and go freely.
