And was told the incubation time is 5-7 days. I was in Hong Kong when I got it and spent a day in hospital and my companion was in hospital for a week. It was pinpointed to contaminated food from tests they did. So if you came home via Hong Kong I would say you got it there unless you were only there for a day or two. I was really sick but got onto it quickly and did make a fairly speedy recovery. We think we got it from some smoked salmon eaten 6 days prior to us getting sick as it was the only meal we had eaten that others we were staying with hadn't eaten with us. Funnily enough, we both went from feeling normal to feeling sick within half an hour of each other. I only ate a small amount and was sick for 2 days but my companion ate a lot more and was sick for nearly two weeks. Hope that helps a bit - I would say it was definitely not from Bali.
