but your warning comes to late. I should never have interfered, even if I am a Bule and obviously therefore very wise.
The unfortunate Bakso man was making an absolute killing selling Baked Beans (Heinz of course)as a side dish and many tourists as well as locals were enjoying his food, served of course with rice and sambal.
Sadly, he became obsessed with them. It was almost an obsession he just couldn't get enough of them, breakfast lunch or dinner.
Then on the fatal day in question, he had quite a crowd sitting around his cart near near Blue Ocean beach tucking in and discussing the smell hanging around the area (which they attributed to the drains again) when he bent over to retrieve a Rp.1.000 note that he dropped whilst standing next to the gas stove area and there was an enormous explosion and unfortunately the Bakso man exploded.
Several diners were thrown off their chairs and one landed in the Kumala mini mart where he was helped to his feet and relieved of the contents of his wallet. The wallet containing 3 condoms was still in his pocket so nobody is quite sure how that happened but the owner and his staff kindly gave him a bottle of water, for free.
Nobody other than the Bakso man was seriously hurt but did call an ambulance and that was lucky because bits of the Bakso man were everwhere and somebody had to clear them up. The pearl seller managed to clean his stock under the tap at the new Outrigger resort as did the silver seller but the sarong seller was last seen heading for Nyoman's laundry.
I don't think I can show my face there ever again and I definitely, absolutely definitely, will never never never eat baked beans
again.
I think our Dear Leader is absolutely correct in his action it could make a huge reduction in greenhouse gasses, especially if anyone is feeding them to cows.
