beach and is tired. The restaurant burned down earlier in the year but the food in the new one will be the same. It's sister hotel is Coral View just up the road which is not as tired but the pool is often green as the guy there doesn't know anything about pools but thinks he does, but still definitely the better of the two.

The restaurants in both hotels are way overpriced for food quality.
There are around half a dozen restaurants in Lipah serving much the same sort of food, with Wyan's and Indrah on the beach probably being the best.

There is also Bayu, with pool and steps to the beach but have heard it has run down since change of ownership and also that Australians don't take kindly to the list of rules drawn up by the Dutch owner.
Their food used to be good bu Anik and Sudi now run the kitchen at Sails Reataurant.

If you want to be on a beach my pick would be Life In A as it's on a sandy, if grey, beach is only 4 years old and well maintained and has a small pool which is usually balanced and clear.
The menu at Life is good but with Sarah, the owner, in San Francisco the standard is bound to be down a tad.

It's an 800m walk to Lipah beach and on the way there is a restaurant
with wonderful views over the Lombok St and excellent food whose name I am not allowed to mention.

Hope this helps have spent several months in the area recently and know it well. Would be happy to answer any other specific questions.
