ive been sitting here thinking about this and the one experience I will always remember is a couple of years ago we went to our balinese son (arya 24 in 8 days heheh)family village at kalibukbuk to meet them and have a big party. We had sent over money for his father to buy a pig and on the way to the village we stopped and bought all the veges etc for the women to cook. That night when we arrived there (there were around 45 of us) we couldnt believe the effort they had gone to for us, they had hired a marquis (which we gave them back the money for) and set the whole yard up to accommodate us, it was just beautiful!!! We had the best night, something our kids will remember forever, they all played with the little kids in the village and gave them gifts, even though the language barrier was difficult they had a ball. The next day our son bought his little brother to the hotel we stayed at and we presented him with a new push bike and totem tennis set, the look on his little face was priceless........we are now best friends with this family and just love them all like our own.......experiences like this are so wonderful........thats why we love Bali so much because of these beautiful people.
