Grand Istana Rama and family holiday....

Hi all, I am still looking around ( and enjoying myself whilst doing it BTW ) at family accom for 2 weeks in August next year for 2 adults, 2 kids, ages 8 and 11. I have been studying this forum and other sites, and its very interesting to read.
We plan on spending about 5 days in legian, then a few in Ubud and then back to legian for the remainder...I have been reading about the Grand Istana Rama and would be interested to hear if anyone has stayed there, Im gathering the Kuta Seaview cottages are not family orientated...a friend of mine leaves on Thursday and is staying at Ubud first, so Im hoping she will bring back some info on places to stay there.
Im really not looking at the Dynasty / kids club atmos...
Anyway, happy holidays to everyone and i will keep searching...any info is appreciated..
