It is a personal decision.
Just back from Bali and it is certainly as busy or busier than Oct 2002. The night spots are crowded night after night.
There was an extended presence of Police around Kuta around Oct 12 ceremony; but then it dropped away a little, although a far presence around the Asia Beach Games.
I'm not sure the place is more secure than 2002 or 2005 - just the same really. So nobody knows.
I wouldn't recommend that anyone go or anyone not go. Just upto the individual/family. Keep your wits.
