I Stopped looking at this site for a few months last year due to all the bickering and arguments. At times it does get annoying.
I'm a teacher and at work I have to correct grammar and spelling all the time. I have to be very careful when writing programs, notes to parents etc.
When I come on here I don't want to have to proofread my post. So, occasionally the grammar might not be perfect. I also have false nails and have been criticized for hitting a wrong key. It's been obvious that it wasn't a spelling mistake (eg funmy) Who cares!!
Apparently those with nothing better to do.
As you mentioned, not everyone has English as their second language. Some people who do have English as their first language are not proficient with it's use. We don't know what their background is so we are not in a position to criticize.This is not a test, other posters are not the markers.
Well I'm off to do some more planning for my next big holiday. Cheers!!
