I had managed to save for my visit to the Orphanage
nail polish,manicure sets and all associated things
for a manicure for the girls this year as well as barbies,
clothing,cars etc.So all the gear packed and ready to go.Jimmy
picked me up from the hotel,well he was so proud he had
a new kijang(nearly new) to show groovy gran @ pop.Of
course he doesnt own it,he took out a loan from the village
bank.At least he can pay interest only when work is low.
After the oohs and ahs we take off.A quick stop to Makro
for food and soccer balls.Thens its a careful drive to see
the kids,catching up on family news whilst driving.
We finally arrive greeted by the barking dogs,a few smattering
of girls and eventually Ibu Made.I give her a big hug,shes so
tiny I might break her!Mades daughter keeps us entertained
with her baby Putu.Then our fresh coconut drinks arrive,so
refreshing.
I bring out the manicure sets and polish,one by one they try
different colours,then I have the job of painting on the
opposite hands.Even the boys got in on it.Theres cotton balls
strewn,different colours applied,emery boards filing,nail
clippers clipping and happy faces everywhere!!Jimmy tells
me I have new job,MANICURE/PEDICURE? Maybe I should do that.
Nows it photo time each person poses with their beautiful nails,
then its a group one!
After the flurry of nails,its now down to serious fun!
dressing Barbies,playing cars,soccer and jigsaws.
Its time to go can I please pack the kids in my suitcase
