We set off around 10.00am from the Bali Garden Hotel and negotiated a priceof 300,000rp with Ketut a driver who works out of the hotel bit more but we were happy to pay and a very lovely man. Arrived in a bit over an hour and the price is 25USD but the price list we were given was 240,000rp approx 35 AUD.Don't forget to pick up your map from information and then you hop on a bus to the start of the park. With your entry price you can have your photo taken with one of the animals and most of us chose the baby orangatang. My youngest son had his taken with the baby lion who seemed to be very sleepy although he was drinking and eating when we were there. We had lunch at the restaurant overlooking the Lion enclosure it was ok but not cheap.Milkshakes were 40,000rp nearly $6.00.
Wandered around and came to where the Elephants were you could buy bananas for 10,000rp and feed them to the Elephants and take photos with you own camera .You could also ride the Elephants for 100,000rp which was very cheap and for a family of 5 would be a cheaper alternative than going to the Taro Elephant park for exactly the same experienceas we did last time we were over here.Headed down to where you catch the safari bus and they take you through what they call their mini Jurassic park. Lots of animals to see some I had never seen before and lots of good close up photos.
There is also a mini water park which is included in the entry price and my kids loved it, much like the kids area at waterbom with lots of slides fountains and the bucket that dumps the water, also a couple of pools where the adults can have a swim as well.I only wish we had had got here earlier as we could have spent more time heregreat way of cooling off after all that walking. There are several rides around the water park area which are free ,mini rollercoaster, octopus, merry go rouand and a river cruise which was still being built. There is a suspension bridge and this takes you over to a larger theme park and these rides you have to pay for which are approx 30,000rp each, large rollercoaster, flume ,dodgem cars.Back near the baby orangatang you can also have your photo taken free with some beautiful large birds. Also saw the lodges that people come and stay in and that was a sight to see people on balconies and animals just wandering below I would love to spend 1 night here looked absolutely wonderful. We spent about 5hrs here.
