Over the quiet times we patronised certain hotels and resorts and encouraged friends to do the same to ensure that they had business. Now those same places have really hiked their prices and show no acknowledgement of repeat customers. Gone are the days of, "we knew you were coming so we saved you your favourite room". Now you are lucky to get a room at what ever price and its back to the practice of showing you the worst room first and only moving you to a decent room if you complain.
