Thanks for your report..Sounds like you were surrounded by 'grumpy bums' lol. It's great that you managed to enjoy yourself with your son though. My kids loved it.

My suggestion to others who have not been is.. Don't line up in the morning for the interaction and pics with the orangutan then you don't have to wait in a line for ages. There's so much more to see and do. When we went we avoided the early morning cues and came back to some things a little later and didn't have to worry about long lines for the photo's. Not sure when you lined up for Orangutan but I'm presumming before midday?

In regards to the waterpark, my honest opinion is it's not meant for adults..You only have to look at those slides to realise they are suited for kids. When we went there were some very overweight adults going down little slides and you could see the slides almost buckling beneath them. It's not waterbom park, it's a water fun park within the safari park which I think is a great idea for the kids to cool off in the afternoon. There is a swimming pool there which is suitable for Adults.
