i agree,if you had any knowledge of food handling and bacteria you wouldn't take the risk.

The restaurants have health inspections so the risk is a lot smaller but even the better restaurants still wash things under tap water ,
Also the only time i have felt crook in bali was from a salad as the lettuce etc is rinsed under the tap water that no visitor and most locals don't drink, so the "no worries eat salad logic " doesn't make sense.

Needless to say I don't touch salads in Bali now.
The only time i may contemplate it would be at a place like a 5 star hotel. .
