If he does go it'll be a different sort of holiday for sure but I suppose it's a matter of chilling in Bali with books,food,views, massage and all that beauty versus going stir-crazy at home.
On the other hand I do appreciate that the environment will not be easy for a person on crutches.The places we're going, other than Ubud, are quite out of the way too so perhaps even more difficult terrain (Sidemen, Sarinbuana, Amed).
I guess we're all still holding on to the idea of the big family holiday but may have to let it go...
Pretty sure travel insurance covers, yes.
