I visited Bali back in 2004 (stayed at the Bounty) for the first time and visited this BTF before heading off. I found so much useful information and once again you have all been a tremendous help! Cheers and bintangs :)
I'm going with my gorgeous man, we're in our mid-late 20's and staying at the Puri Raja for 2 nights then hopefully we'll find another hotel or few when we get over there.
FYI... Flights/2 nights accommodation incl breadfast hot buffet/1 way airport transfer = $1936 for 2 adults... plus $184 for insurance...
Just a few questions if anyone can help :)
1. I was wondering if it has been busy in Kuta in the past between the 8th and 16th October or if it is quite the opposite...? I'm hoping that finding accommodation when we get there won't be a problem is all.
We were thinking of maybe moving around a bit.. maybe lash out and stay a night in Seminyak at a nice spot, or go to Ullawathu or something like that... any suggestions... ?
2. Does anyone know of any up & coming events at the Ku De Ta in Seminyak? I have had a look on their website but they haven't advertised anything as yet... I'll keep on checking though.
3. Any nice restaurants close to the Puri Raja? (love seafood but had a food poisoning incident in Thailand so fresh fresh fresh!!) I can't wait to eat their tasty delicious meals over there.. We live in a camp on a mine site so the thought is making my mouth water... mmmmm :)
4. Does anyone know where I can find a mozzie net to buy for a new borns cot? (sister would like one)
5. Last time I went to Bali I could find current lists of new dvd's to buy... I cant' seem to find one anywhere, any suggestions?
6. We're flying with Garuda from Perth (never flown with them before, last time we flew with Skywest from Port Hedland!!)... I've heard that the service is really good however landing and take off possibly a little shaky??? Hopefully nothing worse than i've experienced before.
7. How much is a taxi from Kuta to the Airport roughly?
