I can sooo relate to your story! My Dad (who is 94) has Alzheimers and every day is a challenge for both of us. I think you must be a very patient person and very caring - well done.
Parents with dementia seem to have a very different way of looking at things - my Dad told me recently that it was very thoughtful of my husband to die when he did, as it meant I was able to return to Melbourne to look after him (Dad). Lol!
It's very hard to watch a person you love becoming someone you don't know. Hang in there and know that there are a lot of people hanging in there with you.
