Hi we went mid January this year for two weeks and only struck rain a couple of times in the afternoon and on a couple of nights. It was very hot and humid though. Due to work committments we are unable to fit in at any other time. We are going back for 16 days January 2009 at much the same time. I think it is bit luck as to just how much rain you get. I am crossing my fingersXX. I believe last year christmas and early January were really wet.... I hope this helps a bit....
