will cover this as a couple of years ago our flights to Auckland on our way to the Cook Islands was cancelled and so we would miss our flight to and from Rarotonga. I rang 1 cover and was informed that our travel insurance only 'kicks in' AFTER we leave Australia.
We had no choice but to go earlier and return later... so we had to cancel our existing travel insurance and take out another policy for the extended days which cost more.
Remind me not to fly with Air Asia. I don't care how cheap they are but if they are not reliable, it's not worth the hassle.
Hope Steffie and Baliblonde's flights get sorted out and their holidays are not wrecked.
