We are also travelling for Sep/Oct holidays.
I tried many hotels via email to get 3 nights accom in Sanur and all replied that they were fully booked!That was in April!
Its Ramadan/Idil Furiti(Spelling Sorry) at that time so lots come to Bali and have taken rooms.
Gave up in the end and will just go by taxi from Tuban and Legian.
So good luck but I think you will find it difficult.
