I will be heading over in three weeks for my first time. I suffer from many illness and take a lot of medication. I was also concerned about having injections, because of my current illness and being more prone to infection.
My doctor has treated me for the past eight years and has done a great job so far. He said that if you are to follow the golden rules, such as, the water, the food and wear plenty of insect repellent, then you should be fine.
I think that if there are so many people that have been back to Bali 20 or so times and had no problens, then we should be fine.....if we follow those golden rules!
It really is a personal decision. If $100 is going to make you less worried, then it is worth every cent.
