You don't need a sponsor for the 60 day visa but you will need airline ticket or proof you have one or have booked one. It can be extended in country up to 90 days.
There is no problem going to KL following a 30 day VOA and then re enter on a new VOA.
There shouldn't be a problem sending your passport via registered mail and provide a return registered mail bag.
