Just recently a close undercover operative who frequents the Sanur area (let's call him "Mr Botak" for this exercise), informed me that your "chariot" had suffered an identity crisis recently, thinking that it was a monkey.
That would be the only plausible explanation as to why it tried to scamper up a large coconut palm within close proximity to the car parking area of your villas.
Hmmm.... if I were to merge my informant's report and your above story about the Lumut's overzealous SATPAM, I now wonder if I have foiled a possible insurance fraud in the making....
Here's another thought, maybe your SATPAM employed at the villas and my undercover operative are one and the same ???
