Hi arrived on Friday night after a great flight from Darwin went to the Adhi Darma Hotel only to be told they were fully booked and we moved to the cottages didn't mind as our daughter had stayed there two years ago and enjoyed it. The funny thing was when I checked with the hotel that we would would have a double bed he immediately got on the phone arriving at the room we found two singles pushed together in the middle of the room as they could not move the bedside table made for a chuckle we were only staying two nights so not to bad.
We left for Sanur on Sunday having booked and paid for a one bedroom villa at the Aston Legends (we stayed last year and loved it) on arrival the manager offered to buy us drinks and lunch I knew something was up. he then explained that the Governor from Jakarta had taken over all the rooms and we would be moved to Seminyak. At this point to say I was cranky was an understatement we stay for seven days every year at the end of our trip in Sanur so my husband can have his jetski fix as we live 600km from the coast. We then hopped in their vehicle and were driven around looking for an equivalent.
Stayed last night at the Emerald villas very nice and had to move today as the owner has arrived, hoping to spend more than one night in any one place soon.
The upshot was when we went back for dinner at the Aston last night they were booking people in, when I asked how did that work I was informed that they had booked before us. We paid in March, I would be hesitant of booking with the Aston again, as we now have to travel to have breakfast at that hotel as they would not arrange to have breakfast transferred to were they are putting us up.
