Hi all, I want some advice about what to do & where to stay for Xmas. I have my annual leave approved finally (nurses gotta fight hard for this!!) and we think Bali is a good option again. Now the weather doesnt bother me as I know it rains plenty then but its still hot enough to swim, but where to stay is the issue mainly due to rain and traffic. In Jan this year there was a lot of flooding on roads and traffic probs getting back to our hotel (Jayakarta) and according to some reports I have read here on archives it is even worse in Dec with all locals on holidays from neighbouring areas and even heavier rains. So question is where to stay??, Tuban area or Sanur (never really been a fan - too quiet i think but I am open to ideas!) or if we go way up past Seminyak area is the traffic flow better being that you drive on more outskirting roads rather than little narrow ones around Legian area. Now this Ive only geened from looking at some maps of area. I really dont know if I would like Seminyak area either as I dont want to be too far out as we have 18yr old now and we love all the resturants around Legian and Kuta area. We are not planning lots of day trips this time just a chill out short trip with 8& 11 & 18yrs gang. And of course we want somewhere that celebrates or has the great atmosphere of Xmas as I think this will be my youngest last year of believing !!
Ideas and opinions please and of course this late stage where the heck has vacancies too is going to be an issue.
cheers Deb
