have flown cattle class with both airlines and they were both good. Downside with Garuda was when our return flight was cancelled no one spoke english so we didn't know what was happening so we had to play follow the leader, looking back it was funny but was a bit stressful at the time!
Jetstar has a bit of a problem when it comes to meal time I was very concerned about flying with them because of all the negative feedback on this forum but we found them as good as Garuda or Qantas and would fly with them again no worries.
For me the decider of which of the 2 to fly with would be on price of the tickets because thay are both on a parr with each other (in my opinion)
wish it was me looking at buying tickets!
