We've been staying at Bumi Ayu Two or three times a year since 1991. Mistakes happen, but a quiet word to the desk in the morning normally fixes things.
Can't say we've ever had a badly presented room in all our visits and we actually used the room you were in last year when the kids and grandkids were with us. Found it great for our purpose but I can understand your problem if you have strangers in the next room.
We just got back from our last trip and as usual the hotel and the staff were great. Sorry to hear you had such a problem, trust me they are NOT normally difficult to deal with.
Hope your next holiday makes up for the problems you had on this one.
