Im not sure you are correct in thinking your travel insurance covers damages to a motorbike. I also have a full motorbike license and International permit. I've never heard of travel insurance that covers damages to a vehicle, whether it be motorbike or car. Usually it is personal injury, and then things like lost baggage etc.
Which company is it with? Would be interested in details of the policy if you are correct.
