is that there is little difference between staying in Kuta, Legian, Tuban or most parts of Seminyak in terms of people around, hawkers etc.
For instance, you could be in a small Kuta hotel down a quiet lane, and be more insular than in a larger hotel on a main drag in Seminyak.
Maybe better to focus on the position rather than the location, or get out to the fringes around the Bukit or Kerobokan, but then maybe a fair distance to shops?
