A little Garuda birdie just told me to expect a fuel levy increase of approx $30AUD per ticket any time soon. This will be for all Garuda Indonesia flights and packages not finalised prior to June 1, my source said.
People should consider telling their agents they would like to pay early to beat the price increase which when announced will be immediately added to any unpaid ticket. Many other airlines have done this in the last 10 days so a Garuda increase is only a matter of when, not if.
Singapore Air just recently slugged us only 3 days before we were due to pay (and with a group booking of 12 pax for July the levy increase would have purchased many cold Bintangs)
