It's surprising how quickly one's memory dims, once you get back home and everything is back to normal. One thing I would have liked to have brought home is a balinese memory, once they learn your name it is never forgotten.
Tues.
No improvement yet with hubby, so we're calling the doctor, plus young T is also not 100%. The guest relations officer at Griya was fantastic, she rang the Dr. & organized everything. Alovely lady Dr. arrived at lunchtime, with medication in hand. What a wonderful service for only 700,000 rp. Should see improvement soon. Took S to Geneva in the afternoon. After seeing my bargains, she wanted some too.
Wed
At last beginning to see a difference in hubby, even slight signs of a smile. I loved the amount of pampering that was available within the Griya and nearby. I had promised my daughter I would try & relax, I certainly did that. It's very hard not to when you can afford to spoil yourself with massages, etc most days. Took S & daughter L to Sukawati markets & then into Denpasar to buy dvds for the grandies.
Thurs
S & I had planned shopping for today as L was taking the children snorkling. We thought we would get dropped in Seminyak & walk back along JL Legian, which we did. There is a lovely jewellery shop somewhere there, that had brightly coloured shell pendants that were backed with st silver. They were bright pink, orange, green, etc. & we both liked them & I was surprised when S didn't buy one. Now that she's home full of regrets, so if anyone can help with an address or some idea of how far along JL Legian it is, that would be great.Hubby's up & about, even talking about having a few more bintangs.
Fri
Well, some people don't learn, hubby had a few bintangs with tea & isn't feeling that great, again. Went into Kuta to pick up order at Dolphin Leather. I read a post here on the forum, where someone thought that they had become rather expensive, but I felt I got great value for money. I had shoes copied for $40, the originals cost me $120 at a 1/2 price sale & they were as comfortable as the originals. I had some clothing copied & was also very happy with the garments. In the afternoon, hubby & I went to the Safari Park. We were most impressed & the little Effie just melted my heart. The white tiger area was closed, but we also managed to pat a couple of cubs. Along with an elephant ride, we also did the safari tour & enjoyed it all. On the way home during our S/pore stopover, we went to the Night Safari, but I much preferred the Bali Safari Park. All too soon it was our final dinner in Bali, even though we had a few days in S/pore, it was sad leaving Bali.
Sat
Up bright & early to be picked up by Made. Only a little over, about 4 kgs, thank goodness I put the heavy stuff in my back pack. A good flight to S/pore, but like everyone else, sad to leave Bali.
Will list drivers, shopping, etc in next part.
