Thank you to everyone who really "gets it", the reason behind my recent posting of my experiences visiting the Orphanage in Klungklung. I could have written about the great deals I found shopping, or the romantic meals that we had on the beach, or the deal we found on horseback riding on the beach at sunset. Yet I promised Ms. Moni (and the kids who each looked me in the eye with gracious appreciation for the little I was able to bring) that I would bring awareness to this forum, hopefully encouraging others to take a few hours (and a few dollars) out of their vacation for the sake of humanity.
No, I do not revel in myself or in what simple things I am able to do to help. If my story brings another bag of rice or eggs to these deserving kids, thats all I am hoping for by sharing my story on this forum.
