Its good you had such a reqwarding experience with your donor family.
I used to sponsor a child with world vision, but cancelled it after they refused to answer some questions I put to them about the transparency of the organisation.
In any case I would rather have more personal contact with who I donate money to, so the $500 I spent per year is now donated in cash/goods as I travel around.
