you can buy great cloth bags over there of all description which are lighter than a back pack. they have zips and compartments if you want them and you realy don't need to lug too much stuff around with you especially toilet paper unless you plan on going in country.
my daughter carries a wallet, camera,handwipes, phone, nicknacks and a water bottel in them and they are more comfortable in the heat than a pack on your back
