It is true that the money changers don't like certain notes. In general if the note has been marked in any way eg. stamped, written on etc. 9 times out of 10 they will reject it and you will spend alot of time finding someone who will change it. $100 notes get a better rate than $10 notes. Pre 2000 notes may be rejected.
