On our last trip we were accompanied by a single lady whose husband had passed away and she had no problems what so ever.
She stayed in a ground floor room at the front of the hotel, right opposite the front pool and about the second or third room from the foyer.
We stayed opposite her in the newer triple rooms (1 double and 1 single bed) and our group in the triple rooms had room numbers 138-144.
These triple rooms do not have too much foot traffic going past.
I find that these rooms are usually occupied, and generally by older couples.
I feel you would be better at the front of the hotel and also the fact that there is a bit of foot traffic can usually work in your favour if you are worried about security.
As for older men with younger women ,you find that in a lot of hotels in Bali and quite often it is single women with male partners so I do not see that as an issue.
I think you would be a lot safer in this wide open hotel as against some that are a bit more secluded.
Hope this helps.

PS hope you hubby doesn't get overworked?
