I agree that tolong, minta & silikhan can be confusing. I learned my restaurant phrases from a dear expat friend decades ago. Whatever works. My local newsagent is Indonesian & I'll get him to clarify the "please" issue next time I see him:) I am a bit of a pedant about the English language so I am keen to sort out the tolong/minta/silakhan issue. Pedants, stay tuned!!!
