I think some good comments are made in this thread. There is seriously no need for the flaming. Honest opinions are what people want to read and we will all have different opinions. When you are considering where to stay/eat etc you have to look at the opinions of others on this forum objectively, considering the good and the bad reviews.
Stanmar I totally know what you are saying about the toilet bowl, we stayed at the Sofitel recently and my wife was initially a little unsure about chips to the porcelain. Overall though I really liked the Sofitel, thought it was great and had way more positives than negatives. There is a small Garden pool close to the rooms and I personally don't stress about a 100 metre walk through manicured gardens to get to the beach side pool. It's a nice property, I'd return and happily recommend it to others. You feel differently as do others, that's cool.
