Be sure to post where you stay in Ubud. I find it very hard to find suitable accommodation with interconecting rooms there.
I know there are some but I really wanted to experience the Tegal Sari. I recommend the place without hesitaion but we must look elsewhere.
Agree with Waterbom allowance. Receipts are given on every purchase and you will get back what you don't spend.
