we were travelling with thai airways a few years ago to bangkok and our flight was cancelled for the day and we were also sent home from the airport to stay at home the night. We are also from melbourne and this must be a standard practice to send people home when they are in their home city.
We have also travelled with air paradise before when the plane was grounded in bali and we were ready to leave from melbourne, on this occasion we were put up in the airport hotel for the day and night and provided with meals and e we were 1 hour from home.Plus we were given a free flight return to bali for the inconveniencce.
