nephew, the got rammed from behind at 6.30 am on Good Fri morning by a drunk driver running a red light doing over 150 kph, she has a #pelvis in 2 places, a bit of L4 cracked and the base of her skull has #'d, she also has neck(ligament) damaged but they are giving her 6 weeks to see how it goes before they decide whether or not to fuse it.She is wearing a collar.
She has been told to get up and go, they say all the #'s should heal themselves, they have not given her a wheelchair. In the old days we use the rest Pelvic #'s for 6 weeks but nursing care has changed.
The nephew has just had his 2nd Cervical fusion and we have been told that they are both extremely lucky not only to be alive but in Jack's case to be walking.
Their parents have been told 6 weeks in neck braces and 6 weeks before they can drive, both are having to defer uni.
I would think that by July she should be up to it and I wish you all a speedy recovery. Do me a favour, use Bluebird taxi's, they aren't into hooning like some of the others.
