no way would the manager have agreed to your complaints. By the way I'm not being a "nitpicker" as you say, I'm just trying to protect a lovely hotel...and to stop poor people cancelling because of your assertions. If you want to complain about the breakfasts thats fine...give a valid reason. If you stay in an international hotel you're not going to get a huge assortment of Balinese foods...by the way, the Balinese eat nasi campur for everymeal...white rice etc, so I'm sure thats on the buffet anyway.
As for "bang for your buck" what your whole $70odd a night for two? Go to Conrad...try getting that.
